Animation Sample

I've come up with a scheme that I'm very excited about for producing animation that respects the budget but remains stylish and exciting to look at.

My treatment for the animation is to use it to suggest snatches of memory, nightmarish recollections in brief, dramatic, and stylized flashes. These short bursts of animation would be peppered throughout the film to illustrate dramatic bits of the story.

The effect might be a little startling at first, but I believe the viewer finds the rhythm of it quickly. That's why I wanted to provide an animation test that has more than just a sample of what the animation might look like, but includes a few animated clips in context.

I've taken a clip from your film that is about 3 minutes long and I've cut in several animated scenes. A few are taken to completion, some are just drafts, it should be obvious which are still unfinished.

You can find a higher quality version here:

Though the higher quality version is still only half resolution. I produced the work at 1920x1080 and I'm happy to get you a full resolution version of this test if you like. Unfortunately it won't improve the quality of your footage which I just captured that from the web.

I regret I wasn't able to complete the final scenes, the close up on the faces as they're marched through the woods. I particularly wanted to complete the last bit with Ziuta looking up to heaven. But I didn't want to keep you waiting any longer and even though it's not entirely complete, it gives an accurate representation of what I'd like to accomplish with the project.
